Debjyoti Purakayastha

Behind Debjyotis’ every sculpture there is a rhythm of life which is expressed in different processes or forms of life or through different relations among creatures.

Born in 1966, Debjyoti Purakayastha is a Gold Medallist in BVA in Modelling & Sculpture from Indian College of Art & Draftsmanship at 1991.He participated in more than 30 group exhibitions and was selected in 5 annual exhibitions of renowned art galleries of Kolkata. He has been involved with several installation projects including Indian Museum, BITM, Delhi Science Centre, Nicco Park, Teen Murti Bhavan and Delhi Parliament Museum.
