Shankar Nath, Ayich

Born in Kolkata in 1942. Studied Indian painting at Government College of Arts and Crafts, Calcutta and later joined the same department as Assistant Professor.

Shri Aich is an accomplished artist in wash and tempera mediums. He established a sense of idealism behind the work on mythology in his film. His artworks have been exhibited in leading galleries of India and the world.

The 'Shilpi Mahasamman' was awarded to this talented painter in recognition of his overall achievements.
