Published by Orient Longmans. PP 252+x, with Dust Jacket.

The book delves into Azad's reflections on freedom and liberty, providing valuable insights into his thoughts on these pivotal themes during a transformative period in Indian history.

(II) India Wins Freedom the Complete Version

Published by Orient Longmans. PP 283+xiv, with Dust Jacket.
The complete version of Maulana Azad's India Wins Freedom, including 30 previously unpublished pages, was released in 1988, in accordance with his wishes, 30 years after his death. Out of respect for Jawaharlal Nehru and Vallabhbhai Patel, Azad chose not to release the full text during their lifetimes to not offend them. The posthumously published pages shed controversial light on key figures of the Indian freedom struggle, holding Patel accountable for the Partition and portraying Nehru in a critical manner. This complete version offers a candid and revealing perspective on the events and leaders of that era.
