There are about a dozen other illustrations of British troops. The size of the plate is 10 ins x 14 ins.), with literary contributions by Harold Begbie, Walter Besant, Guy Boothby, F.C. Burnand, and John Strange Winter. Charlton ranks as one of Britain's preeminent battle" painters of the late Victorian era."
