This Champakali necklace is designed as a single strand necklace comprising thirty-nine bud shape cones and each one has rosecut diamond in the centre and enamel detailing. These cones emulating the buds of the Champa (Jasmine) flower. Cones are tied to a golden coloured silk cord in an equal distance and surmounted with circular motifis set with spinel and diamond. Along the upper edge it has ‘flower’ shaped gold cups holding natural basra pearl beads with gold wire with green enamel ends, a fringe of natural basra pearl with bunches of natural seed pearls along the lower edge. The reverse shows fine enamel work of intricate designs in red, green and blue featuring floral motifs, on gold ground.
