Published by W. Bulmer and Co., 1807. Large 4to., 3 Vols. Vol. 1, PP 424+xvi, Vol. 2, PP 556, Vol. 3, PP 479+xxxi+v, 37 copper plates including 1 cold., 2 ports., 5 folding tables, folding map. Later maroon half leather over matching moire cloth, marbled end papers, title in gilt on spine.

'Performed' for the express purpose of investigating the state of Agriculture, Arts, and Commerce; the Religion, Manners, and Customs; the History Natural and Civil, and Antiquities, in the Dominions of the Rajah of Mysore, and the Countries acquired by the Honourable East India Company, in the late and former wars, from Tippoo Sultaun.

Published under the authority and patronage of the Honourable Directors of the East India Company by Francis Buchanan, fellow of the royal society, and of the Society of Antiquarian of London; fellow of the Asiatic Society of Calcutta; and in the medical service of the Honourable Company of the Bengal establishment.
