This photograph document grandeur of the luxurious set of this iconic film. It shows a view of films set from distance, one can see a grand set up which exactly imitate the historic Mughal court. Here an important scene has been picturized where the Akbar the great confronts the rebel Salim.

This film was an iconic cult of the Indian Cinema. This project should not be considered as one man show because each and every department of this film worked extensively remarkable, however one can say the caption of this ship was K. A. Asif. The first time in Indian films, such detailed attention was paid to the costumes and properties of the characters.
The sets built by M.K Syed a great deal to the creation of the mood. Filming the famous song Pyaar kiya toh darna kya in the sheesh-mahal with glass on all sides, was considered a technical success.
Prithviraj Kapoor as Akbar, Dilip Kumar as prince Salim, Durga Khote as Jodhabai, Nigar Sultana as Bahaar and Madhubala as Anarkali came up with stunning performances.

This lot is in good condition, however sporadic creases, minor tear, mild foxing can be observed which are inherent in the provenance and use of these works.
