The work depicts a dramatic narrative in an extreme dramatic setting of seascape. In this dark horizontal composition, we can see an old playing a musical instrument at seashore outside his shelter in the foreground whereas, the background shows endless dramatic sky with floating clouds. Natural yellow light penetrates through the clouds and reflected on the sea and seashore.

By looking all the elements together, we can decode the narrative painted by the artist which says that there is a performance going on by a highly skilled musician whose musical renditions have the power to bring rain or change the weather.

The colour treatment of this work is extremely dramatic and unreal. In the background the sky seems like a canvas where artist is mending several colours together like green, yellow, grey and blue.
