This is a mountain landscape by M. Sain which documented the scenic beauty of Darjeeling. He followed academic naturalism style to create this mystic composition. Sain usually relied on the documentary aspects of his craft in projects that required an ethnographic approach.

Here also we can see artist has added an ethnographic touch by including an old woman with tea basket, walking forward through a broad pathway which probably take her to tea fields of Darjeeling.

Sain has skillfully captures the mesmerizing beauty of foggy forest of mountains. The precise brushwork with cool and vibrant colours gives the work depth and substance, resulting in a visually striking depiction of the setting.
