This work features with strong lines and bold stylized strokes. The human figure, expressing a myriad of emotions and that dominates Paritosh Sen artistic journey. Sens more recognizable works are his caricature, which reflects strong underlining socio-political shades, and this particular lot is one of them.

For this work artist has used two dimensional, structure planes but still creates an illusion of voluptuousness. Sen captures a scene from daily life activities and these activities are rendered from a cynical and detached perspective, which is typical Sens view point.

The work depicts a man in uneasy body gesture with raised hand against dull and pale background. The drama, anger and sense of uneasiness of the human figure highlighted through the black outlines.
