Full tree calf leather with gilt tooling on cover and spine, title in gilt on spine. lacking the cancel leaf C8 and the errata slip, as usual.
'A lampoon on the Marquis of Hastings' governorship of India, and shows the public estimation of the East India Company, with its toleration of suttee for revenue purposes, and its total disregard otherwise of Hindu prejudices.
